Mrs. Smutz Begins her third year as Guidance Counselor at Sacred Heart.  Mrs. Smutz graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with  a Bachelor's degree in Counseling & Criminal Justice in 1993. In 2017 she received a Master's degree in School Counseling from Ft. Hays State University. Mrs. Smutz has worked for a variety of organizations and businesses in Salina, including Central Kansas Foundation, Central High School, St. Francis Ministries as a Permanency Specialist, and Child Advocacy & Parenting Services (CAPS) as a CASA Supervisor. She is excited to begin her third year with Sacred Heart and is open to help and assistance from students, families and staff.  Alta has been married for 35 years and has three grown children and one grand-son.  She has two weenie dogs Daisy and Milo.  She currently has Chaeha Kim, our foreign exchange student living with her from Korea.
