Sacred Heart Junior Civitan Students Buy Gifts for Catholic Charities "Adopt a Family"
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Sunday, December 12, members of the Sacred Heart Junior Civitan Club purchased gifts from Walmart for families in need through Catholic Charities' "Adopt a Family" program. We raised $175 and bought clothes and toys for six children and one mother. Other shoppers were very helpful, one woman even donating money to our cause. After wrapping the gifts, we delivered them to Catholic Charities on South Ninth Street in time for Christmas. Members who participated were Cameron Yohe, Callie Yohe, Hunter Newell, Jason Marrs, Michael Matteucci II, Shelby Mai, Sydney Goetz, Meghan Torrey, Melissa Hernandez, Eli Junk, Tessa Junk, and Nate Elmore.
