Father Brian McCaffrey begins his second year as Junior High/High School chaplain. He was ordained on June 5, 2021 for the Diocese of Salina and is the new parochial vicar of St. Mary Queen of the Universe Parish. Fr. Brian grew up in Manhattan, KS and is a 2010 graduate of Manhattan High School. In 2015 he graduated from the University of Kansas School of Education, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education.
After college, Fr. Brian entered the seminary to prepare for priesthood, receiving the degrees of Bachelor of Philosophical and Theological Studies from Conception Seminary College in 2017, Master of Divinity from Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in 2021, as well as a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Atheneum of Saint Anselm in Rome. His hobbies include reading, cooking, and exploring the outdoors.
