Salina Youth Helping Hands
- Connecting Salina (including SHJSHS) with Volunteer Opportunities. For Middle or High School students.

Other Volunteer Opportunities
Friends of the Library have volunteer opportunities for youth. Being a member of friends of the library, you will incur no daily late fines on library items. You can also attend Friends Book Sale Preview Night. You can also sign up for The Friends of the Salina Public Library scholarships for teens, Joe McKenzie Youth Scholarship. Library volunteers who meet the requirements may be eligible for $500 - $1,500 scholarships annually. Applicants can apply who have volunteered at the library a minimum number of 30 hours during their high school years. Must have a high school GPA of 2.5, and plan to attend an accredited school or college. Recipients must attend their high school's honor night, Relatives of current Friends Board Members are ineligible. https://salinapubliclibrary.org

Rolling Hills Zoo and their Education Department is looking for students for their Zoo Teen Ambassador program. Students ages 13-17 are able to interact with guests and are taught the skills needed to educate them about their wildlife and their importance in the eco-system in which they live, and why it's imperative to save them.
